LOCAL EVENTS
Navca is delivering this workshop, which is part of the partnership project with The Public Law Project, in conjunction with CVS North Wilts on Wednesday 2nd July in Chippenham. To date around 350 VCS worker have been trained nationally and the support of the Public Law Project has prevented around £250,000 from being lost to the sector in cuts from public bodies. Wessex Community Action are hosting a Summer Lecture in Salisbury on Wednesday 18th June at 6.30pm. Stuart Etherington, Chief Executive of NCVO will ask 'Is civil society in danger of being hugged to death by government local and national'. Wilsthire County Council and Wiltshire PCT are hosting two consultation events to enable groups to give their views on the recommendations in the report. The events are taking place on Wednesday 16th April 11.45am to 2.15pm at Melksham Assembly Rooms and Monday 19th May 11.45am to 2.15pm at Salisbury City Hall. Transforming passion into power: volunteering at the heart of social change is the focus for Volunteering Englands National Convention which takes place on 23rd to 25th April at Hilton Newcastle in Gateshead.
